TRACK WORK RIDER - NEW ZEALAND LOCATION: NEW ZELAND'S LEADING STABLE based at - Te Akau, New Zealand Track work rider required by Te Akau Racing Limited. This position is based in Matamata, North Island. We also have a stable in Rangiora in the South Island. Must be light and able to ride timed fastwork. You would be required to ride anywhere between 5 to 7 horses per morning 6 mornings a week. Good money is on offer to the right person. LOCATION: Waikato, New Zealand Track work rider is required for Kilgravin Lodge, Matamata, New Zealand. We run a breaking in, pre-training and agistment business and most of our horses are in the early stages of their education. We need a track rider who is confident, competent and has a good work ethic to join our team. The successful applicant would be expected to ride young horses as they progress from breaking in through to pre-training and training stages. This position may suit someone from other equestrian disciplines with track work experience. The ability to assist with breaking in would be an advantage but is not essential.

Applicants must have Sales Prep experience. Applicants should be motivated and possess good work ethics. Competence in handling young horses is esential. Daily tasks will include hand-walking yearlings, grooming, feeding and mucking-out. Tasks may also include working with mares & foals, along with assisting the Farriers & Vets.
